To Top It All Off

I flipped my car. Amazingly, there were no bones broken, I am sore but ok and Matt needs skin grafts on the back of his head because he got a bunch of window glass in the back of his head. We found a used Jetta with side curtain air bags so I don't have to freak out about side windows any more. We thought it was the sunroof but that is in one piece. Go figure.

Take home message? Don't rush, there is always time to get where you need to go. And I would totally get a Legend again if it had side air bags. This little car saved our butts. And most of the rest of us.

AND ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS.

OMG! I am so glad you guys are okay. Any kind of accident is scary but flipping your car sounds extra frightening!

My rule for driving after having had my own accident last summer is don't drive in flip-flops. I mean, that AND always wear your seatbelt! ;)

My goodness. That's a heart stopping picture. When my husband and son flipped our jeep and emerged unscathed, though the top collapsed much as yours did, I found out from comments made that cars are pretty much designed to take all the impact. They squish and bend around you, on purpose, in order to absorb the impact and not pass it on to us. It makes for more folks alive and more vehicles scrapped.

But, I'll take it. We pay more for insurance, of course, because the Insurance company is buying out more cars, but who cares? As long as you're alive and recuperating.

Poor Matt, though. Skin grafts? Ouch.

Sorry about the woeful grammar. Not enough coffee yet!

as someone who survived a roll over I can tell how lucky you are- and yes, wear seatbelts. Usually, when you hear of fatalities it's due to expulsion.
sorry to hear about the skin grafts- but at least that's the worst of it!
take care- you'll feel bad for a few days-my whole body hurt due to the seat belt!

I am very glad you are safe. Very glad. The world would be a lesser place without you two in it.
