I made it!

Driving for 7 hours alone is never fun. Maybe for 2 hours it is relaxing alone time or something when one can sing at the top of one's lungs to Van Halen or the Ditty Bops (depending on one's mood). But after about 4 it is misery, even going through Lassen National Park. The reprieve comes around hour 6, when the end is in sight. I may or may not post a full update about my week later, it won't really make sense to anyone but Cheryl. Instead, this is for lsaspacey -

Hooray, you're back! Hope it was rejuvenating! I've driven for long hours--going "East" is a ten hour drive--for three days. But at least in three days it starts to feel lik a sort of "driving retreat" not a freak alienation from all human contact except gas station cashiers.

Thanks! I've been wanting to see that one! I really hate it when they have the Scots play American because I LOVE a Scottish accent.

I guess they think it's off-putting for us Yanks or something or that we'd need close captioning to understand the dialog. Not me.

Wende, a good story is only good when it's just not a list of a bunch of strangers who I played my tuba with. I'll try to distill it in to some actual content other than things like "Tom brought the greatest piece to play! And Sean WROTE IT! He wasn't there this year so I emailed him and he sent me a copy!" cuz that's just not exciting to anyone but me.

And Alana, thanks! The drive was not the rejuvenating part, let's just put it that way.

lsaspacey - I heartily recommend it, her costumes are gorgeous and make me wish I could sew. I just don't understand the whole accent thing. They let a bunch of the minor characters stay British but not the major ones?
