Every time I see the new fixture I smile (or sigh with relief). Go figure. Matt's first response was "It's boring. Is that canvas? Can I paint it?" My response to him, "That's linen, and NO". The band clarified for me though, it's not BORING, it's simple. And that's awesome, thankyouverymuch.

Holy Crap (or Things That Are Only Exciting To Me)

i think it's an improvement also. the other was distracting.
I like the new lamp. You're about it being a bit of simple modernity in a visually busy environment. This is how I feel about making my bed in the morning--none of our furniture matches and my clothes are everywhere, but if the bed is made, somehow all that other stuff recedes.
Oh happy day--at long last!!
Congratulations. It is an oasis of calm and serenity and I like it very much.
I really like the light fixture. I recently replaced the scary crazy Great Expectations-esque crystal chandelier in my dining room with a very simple glass ball pendant from IKEA. Understated is definitely the way to go when it comes to light fixtures! Looks good.
